Seattle puts Rowland-Smith on DL, recalls French

Chicago, IL (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Seattle Mariners have placed pitcher Ryan
Rowland-Smith on the 15-day disabled list with a lower back strain and
recalled Luke French from Triple-A Tacoma.
Rowland-Smith has posted a 1-10 record and 6.96 earned-run average in 22 games
(19 starts) for the Mariners this season. In Tuesday's start against the White
Sox, he allowed 11 runs, matching a club record, in five innings.
French is 0-1 with a 6.39 ERA in four games (one start) over two previous
stints with the Mariners this season. The left-hander is expected to be
available for Wednesday's game with Chicago.
